Q: When should I go to the ED?

Kinkaya's medical and nursing teams have extensive emergency department experience, but for a genuine medical emergency such as breathing difficulties, uncontrolled bleeding, seizure or unconsciousness, call 000 for immediate ambulance assistance.

Q: How do I book an appointment?

Kinkaya's GP service currently operates every Wednesday from 8am until 2pm, with hours expanding as the clinic grows. Patients can call to arrange an appointment or book online through HealthEngine, and can also complete the online pre-registration form.

Q: Do you offer Telehealth appointments?

Telehealth appointments are reserved for follow-up appointments for adults. Children need in-person, objective assessment as their condition can change quickly.

Q: Where can I get help after hours?

Kinkaya's Urgent Care service is open every day from 8am until 10pm as a walk-in service, no booking required. For non-emergency assistance after 10pm, patients can call Dial-A-Doctor on 1300 030 030.

Most families first find Kinkaya when they need walk-in urgent care. But we also have a kid friendly General Practice clinic on-site in Innaloo. This allows us to offer after-care if further treatment is needed.

We have taken the extra step of building the facilities and medical team to make sure we can meet the specific needs of young people.

This doesn’t exclude adults, it just means better care for everyone, even the little ones.

How do I book an appointment?

Telehealth appointments are reserved for follow up appointments for adults.

Kids, especially very young ones, aren’t very good at explaining their symptoms so we need to use a lot more objective tests and observations to assess their condition which at this stage needs to be done in-person. Their condition can also change rapidly in a short period of time so we like to keep kids in our care while treating them.

Where can I get help after hours?

Right here! Our Urgent Care service is open every day from 8am until 10pm. Kinkaya Urgent Care is a walk-in service. No booking is required.

Kinkaya Urgent Care provides on-demand medical care for injuries and illnesses that aren’t life threatening. We are here for when you need help, but don’t need to be adding to the numbers at the emergency department.
